1. Who we are

Dozey ("we", "our") is the data controller for the Dozey app. This policy describes what data we collect, for what purposes, who processes it, and what your rights are. It is aligned with our App Store privacy declaration and with applicable law (including GDPR in the European Union).

2. Data we collect

We collect the following categories of data, in a readable and transparent way:

  • Identifiers
    • User / account identifier: an identifier (often anonymous) used by our service providers (RevenueCat, PostHog, Superwall) to recognise you across sessions and manage your subscription and analytics.
    • Device identifier: for example the device vendor ID or similar identifier used by our SDKs (e.g. Superwall) to support the App and subscription features.
  • Purchases / purchase history: information about your subscriptions and in-app purchases (e.g. status, entitlements). This is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) and by our subscription provider RevenueCat, and by Superwall for paywall and subscription logic.
  • Usage data:
    • Product interaction: screens viewed, events and actions in the App (e.g. PostHog: screens, events; Superwall: paywall events).
    • Other usage data: in-app activity and analytics to improve the product and the service.

3. Purposes

We use the data for:

  • Providing the service: validating purchases, granting access to premium features, and ensuring the App works correctly.
  • Analytics and product improvement: understanding how the App is used (via PostHog, Superwall, RevenueCat) to improve features, fix issues, and offer a better experience. We do not sell your personal data.

4. Who processes the data

We (Dozey) act as the data controller: we decide why and how your data is used.

Subcontractors process data on our behalf for the purposes above. Their own privacy policies apply to their processing. We use in particular:

Apple (App Store) and Google (Play Store) process payment and purchase data according to their respective policies.

5. Legal basis and retention

Legal basis (GDPR): we rely on our legitimate interest to provide, secure and improve the App and to manage subscriptions, and where required by law we may rely on your consent (e.g. for certain analytics or non-essential processing).

Retention: we keep data for as long as necessary to provide the service and to comply with legal obligations. For details on how long our subcontractors retain data, please refer to their privacy policies (links above).

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (in particular in the European Union under GDPR), you may have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Rectification of inaccurate data
  • Erasure (deletion) of your data
  • Object to certain processing
  • Data portability (receive your data in a structured format)
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (e.g. in France, the CNIL: cnil.fr)

To exercise these rights, contact us at the email address below. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

7. Where to read this policy

This privacy policy is available at the URL of this page (on our website or dedicated page). You can also find a link to it in the App (e.g. in Settings, About, or a dedicated legal screen).
